173,000 Rotaractors around the world can't be wrong!

A brief introduction ...

Rotaract is a programme of Rotary International for young men and women aged 18 to 30.  Rotaract clubs are entirely non-political, non-religious and non-profit making (with any revenue generated from club events being ploughed back into the community often in the form of charitable donations). Their purpose is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.   Thank you, Wikipedia! :-)

Typically, Rotaract clubs are either community based (like ourselves), or university based, and sponsored by a local Rotary club.  We have 2 such Rotary clubs jointly sponsoring us, the Rotary Club of Burnham and the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches.

Rotaract has become something of a phenomenon since its inception in 1968.  There are now over 7,000 Rotaract clubs worldwide with over 173,000 members.  If you are not in our club's immediate catchment area, the chances are there's a Rotaract club near you!
